Took 10 seconds to load it, and about an hour with a shovel to unload it. But now I have a nice, low maintenance front ‘yard’
From this:
To this:
Still have a bit more edging to do and a bubble cover to put over the basement window but the hard stuff is done, thanks in no small part to my trusty old truck.

Next time, put a cheap tarp down before they dump the load in. You’ll still have to scoop most of it out, but the last 10% (the hardest part to scoop)
can be rolled out with the tarp, and that makes cleanup a lot easier too.

Looks like he did, check the first couple seconds on the video.
I saw it and thought, “hey that’s a good idea, next time I’ll do that!”

Geez, I didn’t even notice the tarp in the video.
It is a huge help though, scraping out the last few shovelfuls is the most annoying part.

I end up using a stiff broom, then a hose. But then, my bed is also plywood on the bottom so I am used to sweeping stuff out so it doesn’t retain water after rain.

Stiff broom was necessary anyway, to get the last bits of stone out. Especially between the tailgate and bed.

Ahh yes, this truck is doing actual truck stuff.
Unfortunately, 98% of the truck beds in this country will never see such use. In fact, 98% of the USA’s truck owners would watch this video and gasp in horror.
